leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh has decided to stage dharna at the residence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday, if General Administration Department (GAD) Minister lal Singh Arya fails to step down.
While talking to media persons here on Saturday, Singh said that he has given time of only two days to the State Government and the Chief Minister to decide the fate of Arya, otherwise he would stage dharna at Chief Minister’s residence. Even then, if he is not heard, he would move to Prime Minister Narendra Modi intimating him about the state of affairs in Madhya Pradesh,” he added.
He alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is adopting dual standards in the case related to Arya. In a similar case, former Minister Anup Mishra was asked to submit his resignation, while Arya, who has been named in a murder case is being protected by both Chief Minister and the BJP, he added.
Citing a press statement issued by State BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan in which he had stated that he did not agree with the judgment of the court, Singh alleged that the statement was evident that the BJP did not believe in judiciary system of the country. He alleged that this statement is clearly a challenge to the judiciary and advised the Chief Minister to immediately seek resignation from Arya.
He further alleged that the State government is intoxicated with opium because in the State cabinet, it was decided that the government employees would get 7 per cent DA, but later, the officials issued orders for only 4 per cent DA.
