All promises made to the farmers should be fulfilled and soyabean should be procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP) as the Bhavantar scheme is deceitful, said leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh.

Ajay Singh raised demand of loan waiver of farmers, electricity bills waiver of farmers and providing bonus to the farmers and demanding relief money for drought crisis from  the Centre  and if CM sits on protest, he would join him.

He said that in the State more than 75% of districts are  under severe drought conditions but till date, Govt has not declared any district as drought hit and no relief hasbeen given.

Chouhan who used to be very vocal and scathing at  United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime, has not been able to meet people ’s hopes.

On June 15, 2017 in Shajapur, CM had said that at any cost, Soyabean would be procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP) but, as usual, he forgot after declaration, Singh said and added that in the last one month 12 farmers have committed suicide which present the actual picture of the State and the CM.On Sunday, a farmer who belonged to CM Chouhan’s home district Sehore committed suicide while two farmers attempted suicide at Sagar and Damoh.

The anti-farmer policies of the State has led to the suicide of 117 farmers in the past 127 days in which 14 suicides have been reported in the home district of CM alone.
