leader of Opposition in State Assembly Ajay Singh lashed the saffron brigade on Sunday alleging that 10 years of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule has exposed the BJP, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) and the associated organisations showing their real nature, character and face of criminality.
“The truth about the party and its people who always talk of purity, culture, tradition and nationalism is now for everybody to see,” Singh stated on Sunday.
“Arrest of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Indore district Treasurer Kamal Verma for molesting a woman and the murder of a driver by former BJP corporator P Ganesh at Kolar Municipality clearly shows that most of the leaders of this party are of criminal nature,” Singh said.
“These people neither have any respect for women, nor do they have any problem in committing any crime. In Mandsaur, BJP district president Karoorlal Soni is caught in involved in objectionable revelry. A girl is raped in the office of BJP legislator in Balaghat and the divisional head of BJP in Jabalpur is arrested for rape. Relatives of BJYM district head in Ratlam are booked for betting in the IPl.
Besides, the relatives of Public Works Minister and Women Development Ministers are also caught for raping women,” Singh said, citing in detail incidents of crime involving BJP leaders and workers throughout the State.
A long list of BJP leaders protecting crime and criminals in last 10 years can be made. BJP legislators Dhruvnarayan Singh and Jitendra Daga are suspects in a well known murder case. The former BJP State president and present national vice-president Prabhat Jha is seen with the Shahla Masood murder accused, Singh remarked.
Referring to the incident at Khajurahao recently, he said, “At the international airport in Khajuraho, BJP workers had fired bullets in front of BJP President Rajnath Singh who has Z-plus security but the police has not acted against anybody even after an FIR has been lodged.”
Singh also alleged that it is due to the criminal nature of the party leaders that Madhya Pradesh is top in crime in the country.
