Higher and Technical Education Minister Umashankar Gupta has directed to open nodal centres in all districts under respective universities by June 30. Centres should have adequate facilities so that students need not come to university. Gupta reviewed activities of universities on Tuesday.
Gupta said that concrete work should be done instead of holding meetings and issuing circulars.
He directed to fill vacancies and rationalise posts in universities at the earliest. Gupta said that strict action should be taken against ragging. PhD should be examined.
Services under Public Services Delivery Guarantee Act should be made online. Vice Chancellors should review problems raised in CM Helpline every week.
Exam centre to be set up only with CCTV facility
The Minister said that the colleges where classes are devoid of CCTV facility will not be made exam centres. He directed to abrogate attachment of colleges where regular classes are not held. Gupta said that claims of retired employees should be given the same day.
Minister of State for Higher and School Education Deepak Joshi said that necessary steps should be initiated for online correction in mark-sheets.
Principal Secretary Higher Education KK Singh, Vice Chancellors of Universities and other officers attended the meeting.
