For the history lovers of the city an online competition ‘World History Marathon’ will begin from Friday. The competition is all about the world history and will have some important and interesting topics in it.
Notably, these days the students are opting for history as their favourite subject. But, the information mentioned in NCERT books is very basic. To overcome this shortcoming, the Civil Service Club is organizing the world history marathon.
The Civil Services Club has started a History Society for Bhopal's history lovers. The History Dossier is aimed at linking India's history lovers with world-wide history communities and developing a fair understanding of the history needed for the global citizen. At present, 3000 history lovers across the country have joined this society.
In order to teach something new to the students in the summer vacations World History Marathon will eb held from Friday. In this marathon, 30 online quizzes will be organized in 30 days, in which any person in the country can participate. The society has chosen 'World History' for its first activity because these subjects are almost non-existent in school and college history syllabus, whereas today it is very important to know and understand the history of every country.
World History Marathon has been divided into 30 topics. Participants have to study the prescribed topic in advance. Every day at 7 am, a quiz will be organized on the History Dossier's Facebook Group, in which 20 questions will be questioned on the subject for that day. All these questions will be in English. The most correct answer will be the winner of this quiz first. The person who will win the quizzes in 30 days will be given a cash prize of Rs 6000.
