An online art workshop on 'Dream Catcher' was held for the art lovers of the city on Tuesday.

The  workshop was organised by Riddhi Siddhi Art Studio. Notably, the workshop was held for beginners and aspiring artists. It is noteworthy that the students from class 5 and above participate in the workshop.  The participants will be taught the step by step techniques of making Dream Catcher.

Making a dreamcatcher is a fun project one can do easily. One will need a hoop, suede lace, string, and decorative materials to create a basic dreamcatcher.

The experts explained that they start the dreamcatcher by wrapping the hoop with suede lace. Then create the web by weaving the string along the frame of the hoop. Finish the dreamcatcher by decorating it with favorite accessories.

Notably, it is made through mandala art technique. A mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may be employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation and trance induction. In the Eastern religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shintoism it is used as a map representing deities, or specially in the case of Shintoism, paradises, kami or actual shrines.

The participants learned the art step by step and created their beautiful dream catchers.
