Online admission process of Department of Higher Education (DHE) for admission in under graduate and post graduate courses is going to start from Tuesday. More than seven lakhs candidates are expected to participate in the virtual admission process but, over four lakh students are in dilemma because their results of higher secondary examinations are not yet declared.

According to sources, the results of higher secondary examination have been completely prepared by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Examination (MPBSE) but have not been declared due to some reasons. In the meantime, students are getting agitated over delay in declaration

of results.

Sandhya Dongre has appeared in the XII standard examination from a State capital based school, she said that till year 2011 students could get admission in Government colleges by month of September and in private colleges by December so if higher secondary results were delayed it did not affect the students but since DHE has introduced the online admission proves the last date of admission has proponed to July 30 which leaves hardly two months for admission.

Suraj Singh Chandel, another XII examination appeared student, said “On the basis of results only we can decide in which college to apply and in which not to but with delay in declaring of board results we are in dilemma to whether we should register ourselves for online admission process.”

The Higher Education department officers said that they cannot postpone the admission process as they have to adhere to Supreme Court guidelines for admission.

Meanwhile, Students from the State capital have already started gearing up for the admission.

Students are relying on their elder siblings, school seniors, teachers and relatives to know in which college to take admission. Students are using social networking sites like Facebook to have discussion over the colleges and expected cutoff.
