Due to the demise of Governor of Madhya Pradesh Lalji Tondon, the online performances have been called off till July 25. It is to be noted that a five-day State mourning has been declared in the State due to the demise of Lalji Tandon.
Lalji Tondon passed away on Tuesday morning. He was hospitalised at Medanta Hospital Lucknow due to ill health. Mourning Lalji Tondon’s death, the cultural activities broadcast by the Department of Culture, Madhya Pradesh through social media platforms will be postponed till July 25.
It is to be noted that that in view of the worldwide crisis of coronavirus, a creative initiative is taken by the Culture Department Madhya Pradesh Government by connecting the artists of the country and State, which has received an encouraging response.
The writers, poets and artists invited by the Department of Culture from time to time in its events, were requested to send thier creative act for the society on their behalf in this hour of crisis, which they circulated to all through their social media. All the acts are being uploaded on the official YouTube channel of Department of Culture.
