Awadhpuri police has nabbed a murder accused who strangulated a 30-year-old youth to death on Tuesday night at Yugantar Colony.
Sensation prevailed in the area after 30-year-old Salman was found dead inside his house at around 10 in the night on Tuesday.
In the initial investigation, Ankit Meshram told the police that he spotted Rahul with Salman last in the evening and later Salman was found dead.
Based on the information in the investigation, police narrowed on Rahul and nabbed him and when he was interrogated he confessed that he killed Salman.
After the incident, the accused went absconding. The accused and the deceased were acquainted and would consume liquor but on the day of the incident they had some dispute and later Salman was killed by Rahul.
The accused identified as Thakur alias Rahul Yadav was having liquor at around 8 pm when Ankit visited Salman and the two had a verbal spate over some issue.
He went to collect money which he had given to Salman.
After sometime Ankit went to his house to have food and returned at around 9.30 in the night and found that Salman was lying unconscious and when he was taken to hospital he was declared dead.
Police said that the accused confessed that he killed Salman.
He had dispute over money with Salman and during having drinks on Tuesday he got infuriated and strangulated Salman to death.
Ankit had provided Rs 83,000 to Salman for work and on Tuesday he had gone to return of the money.
