A 17-year-old boy died while another two were injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding car vehicle near DPS trisection under Ratibad police station area late in the night on Sunday.
According to the police, two injured youths were rushed to Katju Hospital from where they were referred to Hamidia hospital where one of the injured was died during treatment while other injured is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
In the initial investigation the deceased was identified as Mohan Bhilala,of Kekadia village and the injured was identified as Dashrath and Mukesh. The three were returning from Narmada Hospital after providing food to their relative at the hospital.
Police said that the incident took place around 11.30 pm when they reached DPS trisection. Dashrath was driving the bike and Mohan along with Mukesh was riding pillion. The errant driver escaped the spot after the accident. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police.
Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man died after he was hit by a speeding train near Singarcholi railway crossing on Monday.
Police said that the deceased was identified as Mahaveer Prasad Sharma of Halalpura village. The reason behind the death remains unknown and would be investigated in the further investigation. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police.
