A 35-year old woman died while two persons including a woman were injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding vehicle near Hi Tech City colony under Gandhi Nagar police station area on Sunday.
According to the police, three persons including two women were injured while on their way to Karond and were rushed to Hamidia hospital where one of the woman died late in the evening.The deceased was identified as Noorjehan Khan who was on his way to Karond with her sister and nephew. The remaining two were identified as Raja Khan and Nafisa Bi the three were on their way to Karond.
The accident took place at 11.30 am. The three were rushed to hospital where Noorjehan died during the treatment. The condition of the deceased deteriorated at the hospital and she succumbed to her injuries. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the bike was hit by speeding Maruti 800 but the complainants were not able to note registration number of the car. Search for the vehicle and errant driver has been started.
Raja Miyan and Nafisa Bi escaped with minor injuries and lodged a complaint with the Gandhi Nagar police in the evening and after few hours of the complaint police received information of death of Noorjehan. On Monday post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.
