A bus driver died and 30 passengers traveling in the bus were injured when a speeding truck rammed into the bus at New Bypass under Gunga police station area on Monday.
According to the police, at around 4 pm a speeding truck collided with a Sironj bound bus carrying around 30 passengers. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where the bus driver Parvez Khan (28) was declared dead due to fatal injuries on
his head..
The truck driver escaped the spot leaving the truck but the cleaner reached the police station and informed about the accident, told Bhadouria. The police have registered a case under section 304(A) of the IPC and have started search for the errant driver.
Meanwhile, SAF personnel of 7th Battalion was electrocuted at the Battalion premises under Govindpura police station area, on Sunday. According to the police the victim Ram Singh (50) at around midnight tried to push the air cooler kept in his room but he sustained electric shock and became unconscious. The victim was rushed to JP hospital where he died later.
Ram Singh was a constable with the 7th battalion.The police has registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC. The body was sent for post-mortem and the police have started further investigation.
