A 20-year-old youth died while pillion rider escaped with injuries after their scooter was hit by a speeding bus near Habibganj railway crossing under Govindpura police station area on Monday.
An injured youth was rushed to a nearby hospital after his motorbike was hit by a speeding truck in the afternoon on Monday. The injured youth was declared dead.
The deceased was identified as Anoop Singh of Jehangirabad area and met accident while he was on his way to Barkatullah University at around 1.30 pm. The bus driver escaped the spot leaving the bus which was later seized by the police.
After the preliminary investigation the body was for the post mortem and a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.
Meanwhile four passengers including a woman passenger were injured after a speeding city bus overturned at lalghati under Koh-e-Fiza police station area on Monday.
According to the police a city bus carrying passenger turned turtle and the passengers were rushed to Hamidia hospital where condition of one of the woman passengers has been reported critical.
SHO of Koh-e-Fiza police Bl Mandloi said that the bus was moving with a very high speed. The injured woman was rushed to Hamidia hospital where fracture was diagnosed in her right hand. The injured was identified as Pooja (36) of Betul.
The accident took place near electronic showroom lotus at around 6.30 pm on Monday.
The onlookers told the police that the city bus was moving with a very high sped due to which the driver was not able to control it and lost control over the bus and it turned turtle.
