Habibganj police has booked a 35-year-old man for sexually assaulting a 25-year-old divorcee woman near JP hospital a month ago. A case was registered on Wednesday.
Police said that the victim lodged a complaint of sexual assault against a tenthouse owner. Police have registered a case against the accused identified as Raju Pal.
The victim, separated from her husband, used to live with her children in Bheem Nagar and after the assault, she approached Shyamla Hills police station where a zero FIR was registered and later, the case was transferred to Habibganj police.
The victim works with a catering agency and in connection with work, she had met the accused a month ago who lives near JP hospital and runs catering services. The accused lured her of job and sexually assaulted her and escaped.
Police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old married woman was raped by her relative at B –sector under Piplani police station area in the afternoon on Tuesday.
Police said that the accused, Naval Banerjee, sexually assaulted the victim who was alone at her house on Tuesday.
The police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC. The accused was absconding at the time of filing the report.
