Chhola Mandir police has booked a molester who molested and assaulted a 25-year-old girl at Shabri Nagar at night on Sunday; accused molested her after she refused to marry him.
According to the police, the victim was at her home when the accused Rohit Kumar came in an inebriated state and started creating ruckus and molested victim.
The victim raised an alarm after which family members rushed to her rescue. The accused escaped from the spot. The police have started investigation and registered case of molestation.
The victim was acquainted with accused for long, accused proposed her but victim refused and last year she got engaged with other youth. The accused mislead youth’s family due to which he broke up the scheduled marriage.
In the night on Sunday accused came heavily drunk, held victim’s hand and asked her to marry which she again refused on which accused hit her, victim alerted family but accused managed to escape.
Based on the complaint and after the preliminary investigation, police registered a case of molestation, threatening of life, assaulting the victim, against the accused.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old girl was molested by miscreant in Berasia area on Sunday; a complaint was lodged by victim with Berasia police.
According to the police accused Sagar Singh molested the victim for the past few days and when the victim opposed the accused threatened her and abused her of her caste. The police have registered a case under sections 354, 506 of the IPC and sections of of Prevention of SC/ST Atrocities Act were also imposed.
