Jail officials from all over the State will inspect the Central jail which has created a niche for itself as a model jail in the State. In this regard, jail headquarters has issued missives to jail officials all-over the state asking them to undertake an inspection of Indore central jail and accordingly make suitable changes in their respective jails as per the requirements.
Central Jail of the city has emerged as a model jail in the State where a new glass wall has been to allow family members to talk to the jail inmates The jail administration has also made arrangement of a telephone facility to allow family members to talk to the jail inmates over phone. Besides, arrangements have also been made to allow jail inmates from other places lodged in the jail, to talk to their family members over phone in the Central Jail.
Food arrangement at the central jail here has also come in for a wide applause as jail officials before serving foods to the jail inmates, test quality of the food themselves so as to ensure there is no compromise with the quality of foods being served to jail inmates.
Besides, other facilities have also been provided at the jail. Central jail sources informed that the Jail headquarter Bhopal apparently impressed with the state of infrastructure and facilities at the central jail of Indore, has passed directives to jail officials all-over the state asking them to undertake a visit of Indore central jail and see for themselves the facilities provided to jail inmates so that they develop jails of their respective regions as per their requirements.
Central jail sources informed that jail officials from all-over the State will visit central jail in the current month. In this regard, central jail officials have been asked to ensure that all the jail officials visiting here take a glimpse of all the existing facilities of the central jail.
