Mayor Alok Sharma said that the participation of each individual is important in the making of Smart City.
Notably, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) is receiving the ideas for Smart City from the people belonging to different culture, backgrounds and occupations. In the similar series, Mayor met with the officials of various Government organisations and asked them to put forward their suggestions and ideas for smart city project.
Here on Sunday, Mayor Alok Sharma while addressing the meeting with the officials of government organisations said that BMC is taking suggestions from the representatives and officials of various organizations so that the innovative and good ideas can be implemented in smart city project.
During the meeting, the officials kept forward their ideas for smart city. They emphasized over the establishment of all Government offices at one area. They also highlighted about the establishment of parks in each colony of the city, and a proper parking lot there. Also the officials suggested about the make water harvesting and plantation as a perquisite to building permission, construction of roads should be done through one agency rather than different agencies, plantation of various plants of different species at different areas should be done according to microclimate.
Mayor Alok Sharma also said that all the hardwork and all the endeavours will only change into a big success when the experiences and better suggestions could be implemented in the smart city project. So it is equally important to get suggestions from the employees of government organisations as it will surely prove to be fruitful for the project, he added.
During the meeting, BMC Commissioner Tejaswi S Naik, BMC Additional Commissioner Sanjay Kumar, Mayor in council members and the officials of Government organisations were present.
