After the announcement of the dates of Madhya Pradesh Panchayat elections by the State Election Commission, a statement of former Chief Minister and PCC Chief Kamal Nath has come to the fore regarding OBC reservation.
Talking to the media persons on Saturday, Kamal Nath said that there are 875 members of Zilla Panchayat in the entire state, while OBC has got 98 posts i.e. 11.2% reservation has been given in the state for Zilla Panchayat members. OBC has not got a single post for Zilla Panchayat member in 19 districts. Same is the case with Janpad Panchayat.
The government of Madhya Pradesh has done a great injustice to the other backward classes in the Panchayat elections. In the Panchayat elections of 2022, the BJP government has given only 11.2% seats of District Panchayat member to OBC category, only 9.5% seats of Janpad Panchayat President, only 11.5% seats of Janpad Panchayat member and only 12.5% ??of Sarpanch seats. Not only this, OBCs have been given zero posts of Zilla Panchayat members in 19 districts, zero posts for Janpad Panchayat President in 28 districts and zero posts for Janpad Panchayat members in 10 districts.
Kamal Nath said that there are 313 posts of Janpad Panchayat President. Of these, 30 posts have been given to OBCs. That is, 9.5%. OBC did not get a single post of district president in 28 districts. At the same time, there are 6771 posts of Janpad Panchayat members. OBC has got 780 posts in this. ie 11.5%. OBC candidates have not got a single post of Janpad Panchayat member in 10 districts. There are total 22 thousand 424 posts of Sarpanch. OBC has got 2821 posts in this, which is 12.5%. BJP has cheated OBCs in the name of reservation.
Kamal Nath made a big allegation on the government and said that full OBC reservation has not been received in the Panchayat elections. OBC seats have been halved due to the new reservation. This state government conspired to cancel the OBC reservation. Shivraj ji is saying with confidence that BJP is giving 35-30 percent OBC reservation but in reality it is about 9 to 10% reservation.
This will help in resolving the problem. Along with this, action has been taken against the guilty employees, they are being separated from service.
