Environmental Hygiene and Green and Blue Dustbin Distribution as a part of the Swachhta Pakhwada celebration from April 01 to 15, 2022. The event was attended by the Chief guest Prof. Dr Rajesh Malik (Dean Academics), Dr Manisha Shrivastava (Medical Superintendent), Dr Mayank Dixit (Deputy Medical Superintendent), Dr Vishal Gupta (Add Prof GI Surgery) and Mudita Sharma (ANS) and as a part of community participation patients, attendants, staff, and visitors attended the event in large numbers.
A Health talk by Kapil Sharma, Nursing Officer was delivered highlighting the segregation of recyclable and biodegradable waste; the importance of Clean and pure drinking water; environmental hygiene, importance of cleanliness in life, and role and Responsibility of a citizen to ensure a safe, sustainable and healthy environment.
Prof Dr Rajesh Malik (Dean Academics) appealed to all Health Care workers, patients, and visitors to spread health awareness on environmental hygiene and its benefits to General public. Medical Superintendent Dr. Manisha Shrivastava emphasized on adoption of cleanliness and hygienic practices in daily life and importance in prevention in COVID pandemic-like situations.
The Nursing team also presented an informative and entertaining skid depicting waste segregation and safe disposal in the community. Later the two-colour waste bins were distributed to the general public as awareness initiative.
