The Madhya Pradesh (Central) Region of Field Operations Division (FOD) of the National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) would be organizing the regional training conference of NSS 72nd round during June 23-26 at the Academy of Administration in the state Capital which would be inaugurated by the Deputy Director-General of the NSSO (FOD) regional office, Bhopal.
For the survey to be conducted in a proper and efficient manner a review on the arrangements and a four-day training programme for regional officers would be organized from June 23 to June 26. Officials of the Economics and Statistics department would also be present at the occasion.
The NSSO, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and the Directorates of Economics and Statistics of different states would conduct survey under the 72nd round from July 2014 to June 2015 in selected urban and rural cities on domestic tourism expenditure, family expenditure on services and durable goods and family consumption expenditure (food and non-food consumption). The survey would provide to determine specific details of expenditure of family members on domestic tourism which would include information like travelling done in a single day, reason for overnight trips and expenditure.
The NSSO is the organization which conducts nationwide socio-economic, industrial and agriculture related survey. The organization is providing the services since 1950.
The nationwide surveys have helped in creating a vast database which is based on socio-economic parameters and these parameters have helped Central government to develop in planning and policy-making.
