Sr Lizy Thomas General Secretary and Director of Uday Socio Group said that Diwali is the festival of light and no celebration of this festival is considered without the use of firecrackers. Bursting of fireworks causes severe air and noise pollution which poses serious health hazards Firecrackers contain sulpur and carbon, when these firecracker are lit, these chemicals are released into the air, reducing air quality drastically. This is the reason this workshop is being organised.
