Now no one can do forgery on the name of Transport department. If anybody is found conducting illegal checking on behalf of Transport department, then he will be caught.
Transport department is issuing the Identity Cards to its employees so that they can do the checking efficiently without any hurdle. This would also help the people in checking the authenticity of those checking the vehicles.
Earlier the Transport department ground team was not having the Identity Card, it was creating problem to Identify the staff. It has happen earlier for the staff to prove that they are genuine checking staff. Sometimes owner of vehicles enquire about the Transport Department staff, then they show their documents.
Earlier the complaints have come about some duplicate peoples to act as checking staff and done the recovery. Transport Commissioner Shailendra Kumar Shrivastava has directed to issue Identity Card to all the staff members of Transport department. In the Identity Card the name of employee along with Employee Code, Mobile number and blood group is mentioned. The officers and Employees should keep this Identity Card with them in the field and during checking they can show their Identity Card on demand.
Transport Commissioner Shailendra Shrivastava has said that this card is valid for one year only for ground staff. If someone gets promoted then the new Identity Card will issue. During checking when the ground staffs are working and someone demand for Identity Card then they have to show it.
