After the implementation of police commissioner system in Bhopal, the police has prepared the data of 5000 habitual criminals and started to send notices to all of them to fill the bond over and most of them have been served the notices.
Among these habitual criminals after filling the bond over, there are many criminals who have committed crime. Police have sent 4 criminals of such nature to jail. Additional CP Sachin Atulkar said that to curb crimes, these bonds are being filled from Rs 5000 to Rs 50,000 under sections 107-116 and 110 of CrPC. However, this is not the first time that the police have been making such agreements.
But, till now the SDM of the concerned police station area had the right to send the miscreant to jail for violating the bound conditions, which has now been given to the ACP. Now the police court is taking action of externment against the violators of the bound over.
Additional CP Sachin Atulkar said that under the CrPC, the executive magistrate has got the powers to get the bond of miscreants or non-applicants to be filled to maintain peace and order in the city.
In 107-116 the limit is being filled for a maximum of one year and in 110 up to a maximum of three years.
