Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya selected Sagar Institute of Science Technology and Research, Ratibad as its Nodal Centre to organize and conduct RGPV Nodal Level Volleyball and Fine Arts Competition in which over 500 students from the RGPV nodal colleges participated.
Manju Singh, Dean Student Welfare, RGPV, Siddharth Agrawal, Managing Director, Sagar Group and Jyoti Deshmukh, Principal, SISTec-R inaugurated the competition by lighting the lamp.
In RGPV Nodal Volleyball Competition 20 teams of men and 16 teams of women participated to qualify in various rounds. RGPV Nodal Level Men Volleyball competition teams of SISTec Gandhi Nagar, UIT, Truba, SIRT, TIT College, LNCT, Radharaman, IES College and SISTec Ratibad won their qualifying matches. In the Women’s Volleyball competition teams of SISTec Gandhi Nagar, TIT, Oriental College, LNCT, UIT won their qualifying matches. The qualifying teams will be playing their semifinals and finals on Saturday. In RGPV Nodal Fine Art Competition over 60 students from various RGPV Nodal colleges participated in clay modeling, rangoli creation, cartoon and poster making competition. Students sketched and painted their imagination with great zeal to showcase message of go green, save the plant, stand up for women etc. Jyoti Deshmukh, Principal, SISTec Ratibad, Rahul Mishra, GM Operations and Sports Officer Arun Vermawill be felicitating the winners after the final matches in a felicitation ceremony on Saturday.
