'Nobody from Gondia in constable recruitment list'

Madhya Pradesh Transport Minister Bhupendra Singh took around three days to collect the facts in connection with the allegations made by Congress leader KK Mishra.

On Monday evening, Singh came out with a list of all the 316 candidates who cleared the constable recruitment examination for transport department conducted by the MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).

It was claimed that the Minister and Transport Commissioner, who was also present on the occasion along with Primcipal Secretary of the department, have gone through the documents of these candidates and nobody hailed from Gondia (Maharashtra), the hometown of Sadhna Singh, wife of the Chief Minister.

Singh said, "The Congress leaders are levelling such accusations as they are disappointed by their debacle. I condemn their acts and they should apologize."

A total 316 constables were recruited through the MPPEB's medium and none of them hails from outside Madhya Pradesh, the Minister said while issuing the list to the press and adding that all Congress bigwigs would land in prison if the Chief Minister has them investigated.

"The Congress spokesman is cheating media and providing erroneous information. Initially he said that transport inspectors were hired whereas no such official was recruited during the BJP rule. later, he spoke of transport constables 19 of whom were 'from Gondia'," Singh added.

To a query, he said that the Special Task Force (STF) is free to investigate the recruitment process. Moreover, if somebody finds any anomaly, the transport department might also get the recruitment process investigated.
