Neither virginity nor pregnancy test was conducted at a mass marriage ceremony under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana at village Hardu under Chicholi Janpad Panchayat in Betul district on June 7, 2013.
This has come to the fore from the enquiry made in this connection by woman IAS officer and Assistant Collector, Betul Sushri Neha Makhya. However, the enquiry officer has found irregularities in some works pertaining to the event.
For this, she has recommended action against Chicholi Janpad Panchayat’s CEO. Other irregularities pertain to tenders, material and other arrangements.
The enquiry officer has also recommended action against lHVT of Chicholi community health centre, who had given statement to the media irresponsibly.
