Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhoopendra Singh on Wednesday rejected the demand for a separate State of Bundelkhand.
“Situations of Bundelkhand regions in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh differ. Those dwelling in Madhya Pradesh's Bundelkhand region want to remain part of the State,” Singh told media on the sidelines of the two-day meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party's state Executive that concluded here.
About the formation of smaller States, he said the formation of a separate State consisting of the Mahakaushal region and including Jabalpur, Rewa and Sagar divisions in it could be considered. On the branding of Bundelkhand during the State BJP Executive meet, Singh said, “Objects are branded. We have demonstrated developing Bundelkhand.”
