Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University (ABVHU) has not paid salary of Barkatullah University (BU) Deputy Registrar (DR) Swati Vashishth, for serving the university for three months. Now she has been transferred back to BU.

Vashishth along with two more assistant registrars were promoted as deputy registrar and were transferred, while rest of the two DRs were transferred to Ujjain and Gwalior, Vashishth was transferred in newly established ABVHU. Ironically State Government transferred her to ABVHU even when there is no post of DR in ABVHU. ABVHU did not pay her since her joining.

Vashishth joined ABVHU on February 14, 2013 and just after that went on medical leave but she did not receive the salary though now Vashishth has been transferred back to BU but her salary for last three months have not been released by ABVHU.

ABVHU Registrar UC Shukla said that Vashishth after joining the university went on medical leave but her leaves could not have been authorised. She has been asked to apply for the casual leaves. University has also sought suggestion from the State Government to how to release the salary of DR Vashishth when there is no post of DR in the university yet. University has adhered to the orders of the State Government by allowing her to work but over her payment rules are conflicting.

Vashishth had submitted a complaint in this regard with Madhya Pradesh University Officers Association (MPUOA) also. MPUOA General Secretary B Bharti said that complaint of Vashishth has been received and union will request the government to take necessary action in the matter.According to sources, MPUOA has been preventing another deputy registrar from joining ABVHU after witnessing Vashishth’s story.
