The recipient of the prestigious Tansen Samman is yet to be decided as jury for selecting exponents of Indian music for the award due to enforcement of election model code of conduct in Madhya Pradesh. The Tansen Samman Samaroh would be held from December 27 to 30, 2013.

The culture department of Madhya Pradesh organises this Samaroh under which an exponent of Indian music decided by the jury is honoured with Tansen Samman comprising a sum of Rs 2 lakh in cash and citation for his/her achievements. The function would be inaugurated on December 27 evening at Tansen Samadhi Sthal while it would be concluded on December 30, 2013 in two different music assemblies in Benhat, Barai.
