Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that no Government-like thing exists in Uttar Pradesh. No one knows as to who is the real Chief Minister — father, son or daughter-in-law. He said that this election to change India. Therefore, it is the right time to fully and wholeheartedly support the BJP in Uttar Pradesh.
The CM was addressing an election meeting at Pipiganj in Gorakhpur on Saturday.Chouhan further said that Uttar Pradesh is in utter chaos. Farmers are not getting price for their produce. Sugarcane producers are troubled. There is no trace of power and roads. No one can pose questions to Mulayam Singhji and Akhilesh Yadav. He said that Akhilesh Yadav has no time as he is always busy peddling cycle.
Giving example of Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Minister said `150 per quintal bonus is being given to farmers on procurement of wheat, paddy and maize. UP Government should also provide adequate additional bonus to sugarcane farmers in the same manner. Why is Mulayam Singh Yadav not giving bonus to his farmers on sugarcane.Sugarcane mills have closed down due to erroneous policies of the Government. There is no arrangement for procuring agriculture produce in UP. Wheat growing farmers are upset. In Madhya Pradesh, every farmer has been registered. They are called through SMSes on a fixed date to sell their produce and payment is directly deposited in their bank accounts.
During the Congress rule, power was supplied hardly for two-three hours in MP, which is now being supplied round the clock.Farmers were getting exorbitant electricity bills earlier.“My Government abolished reading and fixed `1,200 per connection per annum. He said even if farmers consume a little more power it does not matter since they grow food grains not only for them but entire country,” he said, adding that the rule by hooligans is fast establishing in Uttar Pradesh. Rule by anti-social elements flourishes due to Government’s indifference.
The State police is capable of eliminating each and every criminal, but they are flourishing due to lack of political will power. Dacoit menace in Madhya Pradesh was eliminated in just 6 months since there was clear-cut message that either Shivraj or dacoits will remain in the state.
Regarding condition of the poor in Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that it is major failure of the government of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav that the poor do not get ration for even 3 months. He said that in Madhya Pradesh, poor people are being provided wheat and rice at the rate of Re. one per kg. Over 54 lakh names have been included in the scheme to benefit maximum number of people. In Madhya Pradesh, the government sends to jail those who usurp food meant for the poor.
