Efficient working with the limited resources is the prime motto and we have succeeded in evolving a new process which could be observed in the publicizing available residential and commercial properties in a single advertisement,” said Om Yadav Chairman of Bhopal Development Authority (BDA).

While speaking with ‘The Pioneer’, Yadav said that the sale remains open from first day of every month to 20th of every month and from 24th date, the lottery and allotment process is completed. The process which was started from October 2016 has proved fruitful and useful for providing details of all available properties within the stipulated time.

After this new process has been evolved, the buyers have been benefited as they are provided with the information of available residential and commercial properties available at different parts of the city and it has made the selection easier, he added.

He said that our top priority is to complete and sell properties in current projects as the delay would increase in cost and waste of resources which BDA does not want. The commitment of the BDA is completion of the projects could not be doubted but there are factors which could not be averted and cause but efforts are made to succeed in each and every project, he added.

The schemes of the BDA are- Affordable housing schemes at Salaiya, Barrai and Navibagh, lawyers chamber and Aerocity project scheme, Development of Misrod phase I in 140 acres, Annapurna and Mahalaxmi projects.

Earlier, there was a process that only one project was advertised and on completion of its bookings and completion of the project, the other project was initiated. However, that did not serve the purpose. “Taking this into consideration, this new process was adopted,” Yadav added.

Yadav further said that this is among several practices which have been adopted after he joined as chairman of the BDA.Replying to the stagnant property market, Yadav said that after the demonetization people have taken a wrong impression that they would be caught for every big transaction which is totally a mistake and it has not affected BDA as the transactions are made through cheques.

Two employees have been stationed at the entrance of the office who have been assigned duty of providing details of the projects and properties of BDA and forms for application could be purchased from them, he informed.
