No dancing talent from the city qualified in the auditions of 2,200 persons participated in the auditions for popular dancing reality show Boogie Woogie Kids Championship from Bhopal. The auditions held for two days–October 8 and October 9.
Thus, no dancing talent from the city would be seen performing on the grand stage of Boogie Woogie. The producer, creator and one of the hosts of the show Naved Jaffery landed in the city on October 8 for the auditions of the show. He took two-day long auditions in the city. According to the sources, as many as 8,000 applications were submitted for the participation in the auditions out of which 2,200 turned up for the audition.
On the first day of the audition i.e. October 8, as many as 1,200 children gave the auditions and on October 9 around 1,000 kids turned up to show their talent. Moreover as the producer, creator and one of the hosts of the show, Naved Jaffery took the auditions he was overwhelmed with the massive talent of the small kids.
The auditions that were running across the country and the judges, Javed Jaffery, Naved Jaffery and Ravi Behl hunted for the rarest talent of dancing among the children.
While talking to The Pioneer, Naved Jaffery said, “As I have visited the city after a long time, I was already very excited for the auditions. It was a pleasure to watch such small children presenting most of the difficult dance forms before me. As I took the auditions, I realised that much talent is hidden in the kids of our country which should be brought out before the people. It was a wonderful and a mesmerising experience for me,” he further added (laughing).
As it was an enthralling experience for Naved to take the auditions, it was a wonderful experience for the participants as well. At the same point it is disappointing factor for those who have not been selected. The reality show would be aired on Sony TV from December 7 with Shahid Kapoor and Prabhudeva as the visiting guests on the first episode.
