Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan declined to comment over Bharatiya Janata Party’s State president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan’s statement over functioning of lokayukta in the State.
CM Chouhan while talking to The Pioneer on Tuesday said, “I don’t want to talk on this issue, just have Namaste and rest of the things we would discuss some other time.”
Notably, BJP State president while talking to media persons in Betul on Sunday said, “The raids conducted by the lokayukta by going proactive were carried out as per desire and order of the chief minister, lokayukta could not do this on its own.”
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh lokayukta PP Naolekar who has rejected the claim of BJP leader earlier on Monday itself repeated that the lokayukta institution does not act on anybody’s desire or order, rather it work as per the lokayukta act.
Naolekar said, “I never talked to Chief Minister over the issue of raids and trappings of corrupt neither did the chief minister talked to me over this issue nor he gave any instructions in this regard. In fact we hardly gets time to talk with each other so there is no question of taking orders from chief minister and acting on his desire or will, whatever is done by the lokayukta Institution is done as per the lokayukta act that all.”
Opposition Congress is though trying to make it an issue and is associating it with the dumper scam in that chief minister was provided clean chit by the lokayukta.
