Night temperature has started dipping gradually but day temperature is still reeling around 35 degree Celsius in the city and would take around a fortnight for the cold to set in in the capital and the State.
Bhopal witnessed day temperature at 37.1 degree Celsius on Saturday. The day temperature was witnessed 4 degree Celsius above the normal temperature while the night temperature which was witnessed above 20 degree Celsius in the past one week dipped to 18 degree Celsius and was 1 degree Celsius below the normal temperature.
For the past two days decrease in the night temperature was witnessed and the night temperature decreased by 2 degree Celsius in the past two days.
Day temperatures among the major cities have been witnessed at above 35 degree Celsius except Indore which recorded day temperature at 34.8 degree Celsius.
Gwalior recorded day temperature at 38 degree Celsius on Saturday.Met department told that northerly winds would bring the decrease in the temperature and would decrease the difference in the day and night temperature.
In the post monsoon period in the month of October increased day temperatures and decreased night temperatures are witnessed. The weather conditions would follow the same pattern in the next 7-8 days and later the gradual decrease in the temperatures would be witnessed.
The wind pattern follows a set pattern around November 15 after which the temperatures would be witnessed at lower levels.
Currently the state is receiving westerly winds which have maintained the day temperature at higher levels and the cold in the weather conditions is witnessed after the Northerly winds are witnessed.
