After witnessing peak levels of the day temperatures, the mercury in the night have started soaring high across the State. Discomforting night temperatures were witnessed across the State on Friday night.
The city recorded the temperature at 27.3 degree Celsius on Friday. This is the highest night temperature of the season in the city. On Thursday the night temperature was recorded at 24.6 degree Celsius.
Indore recorded night temperature at 26.4 degree Celsius which is two notches above the normal temperature. The mornings have started witnessing temperatures above 40 degree Celsius. At around 10 am, the temperature touches 40 degrees.
Met department claimed that due to the higher temperature and moisture humidity, the could witness partial cloud cover over the city. Nights, which have been relieving till now, have started reaching discomfort levels as a 3 degree rise in mercury has been witnessed in the past two days.
The city, which recorded the highest day temperature of the season on Friday at 43.1 degree Celsius, registered a dip in the temperature. Saturday’s temperature was 42.1 degree Celsius.
Naugaon, which recorded the highest temperature on Friday maintained its lead with the city braving the sun at 45 degree Celsius on Saturday.
Among the nearby areas of the city, Hoshangabad recorded the day temperature of 45 degree Celsius.c
