NHDC ltd was conferred with the Runner Up Power line Award 2013 for Best Performing Hydro Generation Company.
The award was presented by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power Jyotiraditya Scindia to Chief Executive Director of NHDC KM Singh at an award function held in New Delhi. The NHDC received the award for its outstanding performance in Hydro power generation in Indira Sagar and Omkareshwar Projects in Madhya Pradesh.
During the Financial Year 2012-13 NHDC generated 4160 million units of electricity against the target of 3360 million units. NHDC has also been accredited with the ‘Excellent’ Rating by Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India for third consecutive year against the achievements of various targets of MOD for the year 2011-12.
