The newly appointed Director of Indian Institute of Management Indore Himanshu Rai will also work for the development of Indore city with the local administration.
Rai has also decided to come up with the projects and researches which will enhance the life standard of rural India people.
While talking to ‘The Pioneer’ he told that he is very happy to learn that Indore is the cleanest city of India and in connection with the IIM Indore he said that now he has made a motto that clean city will produce clean leaders. His focus will be to develop responsible leadership and to create knowledge and spread knowledge.
IIM Indore will also work for the improvement of environment and for the improvement of flora and fauna. And now the IAS and IPS officers will also be invited to IIM campus so that they can share their knowledge with the students during the guest speaker series which continues in IIM Indore round the year.
Now the speeches of all the guest speakers will be published in the book form titled IIM year book and will be widely circulated and it will be made available to the students of forthcoming batches as well as it will be sent to different colleges of Indore and whoever individually demands it. An international academic advisory board will be formed in the IIM Indore.
Rai further said, “We will help in the promotion of family business of people as it is mostly done in Italy and it is quite successful. Indore IIM has world class infrastructure unique courses and best teaching methods and faculties. We will promote start up so that more and more youths can join business and many new subjects will be added in syllabus.”
