A sizable gate for the smooth dispatch of various products manufactured at the Water Turbine Manufacturing division has been constructed at Block-A, Western end of the BHEl, Bhopal. It was inaugurated by the Executive Director of the BHEl on Friday. Prior to the construction of this gate, entry of spares and raw materials required for manufacturing and exit of finished products used to take place through one single gate resulting in wastage of time and holding back manufacturing activity. With the construction of the new gate, big trolleys can now enter the Block and the finished products can be loaded directly on to the trolley with the help of overhead cranes.
Additionally, the departmental store of Water Turbine Manufacturing division has been shifted to ground floor of Annexee resulting in more space for the store. With the shift, both finished products and unfinished products can be stored in separate areas inside the bay with ease and additional space is now available for smooth dispatch of finished products through the newly constructed gate without any hindrance in the manufacturing activity, resulting in increased productivity and safety. It is worth mentioning that Water Turbine Manufacturing division has several orders from domestic as well as international markets and employees strive hard day and night to complete these orders within specified time. The newly constructed gate was inaugurated by AMV Ugandhar, Executive Director, BHEl Bhopal. Additionally, GM (Hydro), GM (MOD/WEX) and GM (CDC) along with several employees were present on this occasion.
