Election Commission of India has directed that political advertisements during elections on electronic media, TV channels, cable networks and radio channels must be pre-certified before telecast/broadcast.
Directives have been given to ensure strict compliance of this in view of model code of conducted enforced in the state from October 4.The Commission has directed the Chief Electoral Officer to ensure immediate action on receiving complaints regarding violation while issuing notice to concerned political party or candidate.
