The state government has appointed Arun Kumar Vishwakarma of 2014 batch as the new collector of Niwari district. Tarun Bhatnagar has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry. The General Administration Department (GAD) issued orders in this regard on Thursday.
Tarun Bhatnagar was removed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Bhatnagar has been removed due to complaints of negligence in transfer of land, manipulation of government land. The CM has also ordered an inquiry against him. Since then there were no orders for a new collector in Niwari. On Thursday, the General Administration Department has issued orders to make Arun Kumar Vishwakarma, Additional Collector of Dindori district as Niwari Collector.
