For me doing negative roles is challenging yet fun. Such roles give opportunities for best performance and more space to act the way I want,” says the television actor Vikramjeet Virk.
The television actor was here in Bhopal on Thursday to promote the show Marakshak Aryan to be aired on Zee Anmol. The actor interacted with the media persons here on Thursday and not only talked about his role in Maharakshak Aryan as Trilok but also shared his opinions about only choosing the negative roles.
He said, “The character of Trilok is entirely different no doubt in terms of performance but yes in terms of technique too it is different.” Elaborating further he said, “Maharakshak Aryan gave me more confidence and more stamina to perform better. As I said earlier that negative roles give space to perform better, here I will say that the audience would see many shades of grey.”
About his character Triloki, Vikr said, “Triloki is the ultimate embodiment of evil. He is trapped in the centre of the earth under various layers, surrounded by molten lava. He wants to rule the world but the only way he can do so is by reclaiming the mani, which is the ultimate source of energy available in the world. So to procure the mani, Triloki sends his super villains.” It was really fun performing Triloki, added Vikr.
On asking about if any grey character had influence on him, he said, “When I did the character of Mehmud Ghaznavi on Zee TV itself, my friends used to tell me that I have the similar traits as Ghaznavi. Otherwise no character has influenced me ever.”
Zee Anmol’s latest offering ‘Maharakshak Aryan’ is a gripping narrative of coming-of-age and a walk into the darker realms of fantasy where a hero will face his worst fears, rewrite destiny and emerge a winner. This holiday season, the show is the right mix of action and drama, coming to TV screens from May 18, every Monday to Saturday at 6:00 PM.
