Veteran television actress Neelu Vaghela said, through this show we want to wipe away the misconceptions about relationships.
Neelu these days is seen as a lead character in the on-running show ‘Main Mayeke Chali Jaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo’. She was in city of lakes here on Friday along with the stellar cast Srishti Jain, Namish Taneja and Aditi Deshpande. The stars interacted with the media persons and talked about the unique concept of the show.
Aditi Deshpande, noted actor who essays the character of Rama said, “Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo is very beautifully written and I feel that as a show it caters to the entire family. Gone are the days when mothers-in-law were perceived to be scheming and plotting against their bahu all the time. Rama as a character breaks these notions and will be seen extremely accommodating of her daughter-in-law Jaya.” Neelu Vaghela who plays role of Satya Devi further said, “People have perception that mother-in-laws have monstrous image, but this show is all about changing this perception of people. Through this show we will tell people about how to maintain new relationships.” About her role, she said, “Satya Devi is overprotective about her children and especially Jaya as she is the youngest one and I feel most women will relate to this emotion. The character of Satya Devi will put across her opinions in way that will impact her daughter Jaya’s future.”
Srishti Jain who plays the role of Jaya hails from Bhopal city. “Jaya is like Kareena Kapoor from Jab We Met, full of life and vivacious. Her only weakness is the love she has for her mother Satya Devi. How this love over powers her relationships post marriage is what the audience will enjoy.”
“My character Samar, in Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi shares a very close knot bond with his family and it wasn’t difficult for me to slip into this character,” said Namish Taneja who essays the character of Samar.
