National Mega lok Adalat has resolved hundreds of matters in one sitting. One of these cases has been in the court of Justice Dharmendra Singh and many others in various courts. All these cases have been resolved in the lok Adalat.
The Adalat was inaugurated by District and Sessions Judge Bharati Bhageran. A total of 25079 cases were taken up and Rs 1,14,24,0819 was awarded to 7667 people.
One Sitaram Gupta was given a two years prison imprisonment by the First class magistrate. Sitaram had appealed against this. On this the complainant Bangali Gupta and Sitaram came to a settlement and the accused was set free. Sitaram is the son-in-law of Bangali Gupta, and many cases including a divorce case have been going on for a long time.
Settlement has been reached in all cases. The court has asked Sitaram to pay maintenance money to his wife Asha. Half of this money was given in the court itself and the rest was paid through the bank. Two couples have decided to continue living together.
Divorce cases had been going on in the Family Court for a long time, but on the counseling of the judge they have decided to live together. The Inspector of Hajeera police station played a vital role in this matter.
In another case Rs 8 lakh has been awarded to the wife and children of one Shaligaram. He had died in a road accident. A part of the money will be paid to the parents of the deceased.
A total of 623 cases in the High Court too have been settled. Out of this 218 were related to motor accidents. The complainants have been awarded a total of Rs 2.28 crore.
