National Fire Service Week’ organised by CISF unit BHEl, Bhopal concluded the other day at CISF Fire station, BHEl, Bhopal. On this occasion DK Thakur, Executive Director BHEl, Bhopal was present as the Chief Guest. All general managers, officials of CISF, students of various schools who took part in the competition as well as their parents were also present in the programme.
Thakur in his address said that the Fire Wing of CISF has very efficiently safeguarded the plant from fire incidents and no major accident has taken place in the plant.
The wing besides providing services to BHEl has also extended their services to other civil places, bringing laurel to both CISF and BHEl.
He further said that the wing through firefighting demonstrations have proved the theme for the year ‘Firemen- Your partner in saving life and property’. Thakur also presented prize to the winners of the competitions held during the week.
Earlier, BK Singh, Assistant Commandant, CISF welcomed the guest and thanked the participants for their support in the making programme successful.
He also briefed the gathering about the activities carried out by the wing during the year 2016.
At the end Neeraj Bharti, Deputy Commandant, CISF proposed the vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, HCM Division has developed, fabricated and manufactured drilling Fixture for Drilling of Condenser Tube plate and support plate for 700 MW Nuclear project.
It eliminates the direct use of wooden support and improves the quality and productivity. One Condenser consist of 4 No’s and 32 No’s supports plates and contained 11720 Holes & weight of 8.0 Ton
By using the fixture, they have successfully manufactured the tube plate and support plate for RAPP and KAPP project and saved wooden cost of Rs 15.50 lakh and reduced cycle time of 70 hours per
job. It is aImitative toward ISO 14001 Environment management system taken by
BHEl.
