Short of ideas and options, the Congress resorted to age-old gimmickry of ‘Bullock-Cart Rally’ to oppose soaring petrol and diesel prices here on Tuesday. The rally was lead by State Congress President Kamal Nath and Chief of election Campaign Committee Jyotiraditya Scindia.

The two senior big-wigs of Congress shared one bullock-cart during the rally, while other senior leaders including Suresh Pachouri, Ajay Singh and others were on different ones. In all, there were 25 carts in the rally.

Despite of numerous attempts Congress fails in honing the skills of belligerent opposition against mighty BJP which is yet to take its opposition seriously even after the state assembly elections are at the corner.

State Congress President Kamal Nath, Chief of election Campaign Committee Jyotiraditya Scindia and others were present at the rally.

The rally which started at the peak-time only created disruptions in the traffic as they failed to reach CM house as planned gherao of CM was scheduled and culminated at Nanke petrol pump after they handed-over memorandum.

Taking a jibe at the Congress bullock-cart rally BJP state spokesperson Rajneesh Agrawal said that those who have never suffered poverty, rarely walk on roads and these people from royal families and corporate have came for photo-sessions over bullock-carts only.

These are people who made mockery of poverty. They claim the reason of poor not getting food is inflammation and these feudal of Congress would commit atrocities on the bullocks used in the bullock-carts. The Congressmen would never understand village and culture of village, he added.
