While the Congress, which is looking for a way to power in Madhya Pradesh, has stepped up preparations for Mission 2023, on the one hand, the state Congress President Kamal Nath has once again opened the box of promises. Kamal Nath has promised that if the Congress government is formed again in the year 2023, the people of the state will be given electricity at Re 1 per unit.
Notably, during his last tenure, Kamal Nath had given the gift of electricity to the public at Re 1 per unit up to 100 units. Along with this, Kamal Nath has talked about fulfilling many more promises if the Congress government is formed. Along with this, Kamal Nath has also said that before the 2023 assembly elections, changes will also be made in the state organisation.
Often at the time of elections, political parties issue their manifestos, in which announcements are made to give gifts along with populist promises, but Kamal Nath started making promises to return to power about 11 months before the assembly elections to be held in the year 2023.
In the assembly elections held in the year 2018, the Congress got the key to the power of the state with Kamal Nath becoming the Chief Minister, but only after 15 months in 2020, the Congress government fell due to the rebellion of Congress MLAs along with Jyotiraditya Scindia. Now Kamal Nath is once again planning to re-implement the work done during his tenure, which is being called his masterstroke.
