Continuing his tirade against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, chief spokesman of the Madhya Pradesh Congress KK Mishra fired another salvo by alleging that CM’s brother Narendra Singh Chouhan is misusing the power of Chief Minister.
Mishra addressing the media persons here on Tuesday said, “Despite Narendra Singh being a teacher, how did he purchase land worth crores of rupees at Barrai and Choprakalan villages in the outskirts of the State capital. Has the affordable housing project Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) been introduced on the land adjacent to his land, only to benefit him.”
Mishra further said that the Chief Minister is providing patronage to his brother. Providing land records of the land purchased by Chief Minister’s brother the Congress leader claimed that Narendra purchased 7.570 hectare land in Rapadiya village of Barrai, 6.895 hectare in Choprakalan of Imalia and 4.497 hectare in Mugalia Kot. All this land is worth Rs22 crore. All these lands were purchased in the names of Narendra Singh Chouhan, his sons Praduman Singh and Pramod Singh and others.
He once again repeated his charges of involvement of Chief Minister and his family members in the infamous Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam. “During my press conference on June 21 I alleged that Chief Minister’s maternal uncle Phool Singh Chouhan and his son Sanjay Singh Chouhan are also involved in MPPEB scam and provided their call details and complete address. The Chief Minister refuted our charges by saying that he had only one maternal uncle who is no more.”
Providing Phool Singh Chouhan’s address, voter identity card details, Mishra claimed that the maternal uncle of the Chief Minister is still alive and resides in the State capital. He further said that a case of cheque bounce is also pending against him in the court of JMFC Bina in Sagar district. Hearing in this case is scheduled on September 19 but the police are not able to serve court notice to him as he is maternal uncle of Chief Minister. If he does not enjoy patronage from Chief Minister than why court notice could not be served to him, he questioned.
