BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Saturday challenged Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi to “a face-off” as they were both addressing rallies in Assam.
“Rahul Gandhi you are also in Assam today. I am also here. So let’s have a face-off,” Modi said. Rahul also attacked Modi saying, “What did the British do when they first came to IndiaIJ They made Hindus and Muslims fight with each other. The BJP is doing the same thing to make the Hindus and Muslims fight so that people don’t have the time to question the Government.” Modi retaliated and said, “I heard Rahul Gandhi came here today. Has he mentioned price rise even onceIJ No. He did not because he is not interested in the problem.”
