Nadeem criticizes BJP for double standards

AICC Secretary and Observer for District Congress Organization Restructuring Campaign, Nadeem Javed, on his visit to Ujjain, launched a scathing attack on the BJP government, accusing it of hypocrisy and corruption. Addressing a press conference, Javed accused the BJP, which claims to be farmer-friendly, of pushing farmers towards ruin in the name of the Simhastha religious festival while benefiting land mafias.

Javed stated that the BJP’s claims of being a party supporting farmers were contradicted by its actions surrounding the Simhastha festival. He alleged that the government’s focus on acquiring land for the festival has financially burdened farmers while allowing land mafias to profit.

He also criticized the BJP for exploiting religion to seek votes while engaging in corruption, particularly at the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. He highlighted the government’s failure to enforce prohibition in the holy city, allowing the sale of liquor on its borders.

Turning his attention to the issues surrounding the Shipra River, Javed claimed that the BJP government has wasted crores of rupees in the name of river conservation. However, despite these funds, the ghats remain neglected, with moss accumulating, resulting in frequent accidents and deaths due to slippery surfaces.
