A 19-year-old youth was found hanging under suspicious circumstances at Lalghati under Koh-e-Fiza police station area on Monday.
The deceased identified as Atul Ahirwar was spotted hanging by the family members in on Monday and took him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. A case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered by the police.
Family members of deceased raised suspicion that the deceased was killed as his legs were touching the ground and were not above the ground. During the investigation police found that the deceased used to work as auto rickshaw driver. The deceased had an elder sister and younger brother. His father work as labour.
The deceased used to leave early for work and on the day of incident when he failed to came out of his room family members checked and found that he was hanging with the ceiling.
Police have not recovered any suicide note which could help in revealing the reason behind the suicide. The post mortem report is awaited and other reasons behind the death would be investigated.
Meanwhile, a 55-year-old man was mowed down by a speeding vehicle at Berasia road under Berasia police station area on Monday. Police said that a man in the age group of 50-55 years was mowed down and died on the spot.
